These leaves are drying out and curling up. They will fall to the ground, adding to the mulch pile of life, transitioning from one purpose to the next, nurturing growth in the seasons to come.

Nice. We often forget the interest and even beauty is the old, wrinkled, or almost dead.
Sometimes finding beauty seems to need extra effort... especially this time of year. It's all there; we just need to be open to it, perhaps really pause and take it all in.

winter, a good time for mulching...
