Greens turning Gold

The path with filtered sunlight through greens turning gold had tracks imprinted in the previous day's rain flattened sand and mud.  My shoes slid through patches of brown and muddied up still green grasses.

While the boathouses share common threads of corrugated metal and weathered wood, some are freshly painted, others are have peeling layers, often with persistent rust creeping along panels.

This photograph is one of three currently on exhibit at the annual Ely Greenstone Juried Public Art Show in Ely, Minnesota.
