More from the Sweet October Walk

The loving hearts of friends and family, along with the gold of the autumn birch and aspen leaves, the red gerbera daisies, and the blue accents and accessories, all together brightened up this October wedding day.

When I look at these photos of this bride and groom, this couple, and think of them together, I see: cherished, loved, respected, and harmonious.

For more: visit an earlier blogpost and a facebook album, which has a few more color photos along with some black and white versions of this northern Minnesota wedding.

PS. The main photographer for this event is a good friend of the bride. So I got to relax and just enjoy taking a few photos. It was fun to see another photographer's way of working: Elizabeth has the knack for arranging poses, relaxing everyone, and getting some really fun shots. September Wedding in Ely

Blue sky, white clouds, sunshine... and a touch of color for all on this warm September day! Considering that just a few days later we've had snow flurries in the air, last Saturday, September 10, 2011 was an amazing day for an outdoor wedding in Ely, Minnesota! Here's a peek at the special day for this young couple who are loved and supported by their family and friends. To view more photos of this day here, click here.

October Wedding on Burntside

Last Saturday, October 2nd, was a lovely day with sunshine and fall color, perfect for celebrating an outdoor wedding on Burntside Lake. The ceremony and the loving spirit of the bride and groom, families and friends, truly was an honor to witness. Warm hearts of all in attendance and the fantastic meal (Thank you, Roy!) at the indoor reception balanced out the chilly temperatures of the evening.

Here are a few of the images that caught my eye. Even though the fall color was spectacular and the Seliga canoe was such a lovely robin's egg blue, I really enjoy seeing these images in Black and White format.

Beautiful...

This past weekend I had the honor of photographing a wedding for a very special couple, who are so sweet. They had a beautiful outdoor ceremony with dear family and friends to witness. Here are a few of the photographs that caught my eye on my first perusing of the shots of the day.

Note the Keenes: ideal footwear for an outdoor wedding and, perhaps, for any wedding!

Gerbera daisies

On my walk today, another day of rain, my eyes were drawn to the deep red of almost-past-ripe raspberries. My hands reached for the wet berries, irresistible... tangy sweetness. Now, sorting through images from a wedding I photographed early this summer, I am drawn to the vibrant hue of these Gerbera daisies. On such gray days, I savor these spots of color...
