Savor the sound

As part of the Wild Rovers tour, Cory Chisel, Adriel Denae, the Candles, and special guest Norah Jones played to a sold-out crowd at Washington Auditorium last night in Ely, Minnesota!  I love silence, but on this night, I savored the sound....

kaivama

Kaivama, Finnish-American excavators Sara Pajunen and Jonathan Rundman, performed in Ely on Saturday. With a Kaivama twist to some Finnish tunes, this concert was definitely one of the best in Ely this summer! Eli Bissonett joined Kaivama with his violin for a few tunes as well. Two violins and a harmonium = soulful.

Visit Kaivama on their website www.Kaivama.com or facebook page for samples of their music and events schedule. Their first album is out (love it!) and available to purchase.

The color photo above is one of my favorites shots from the concert. Some of my favorite black and white shots are below. You may also find more of the series on my facebook page in the Kaivama album here.
