My heart sings on the open road and up in the clear blue sky. After a long drive and crowded connecting flights, the exhilaration of travel was tapering off... Blessings sometimes come in mixed up ways. Meeting a sky neighbor and her daughter reminded me of the delight in the simple things: watching the suitcases roll smartly into sight having completed their sky journey and navigation of the multiple handlers, trolleys and conveyors. One by one they drop onto the loop: black, blue, red... and, the turquoise. Hooray! And, then two for two was the thankful score for this traveler. Above the weariness, the excitement, the mixed bags of reunions, was the sometimes soothing, sometimes spirited, music accompanying the baggage claim bustle. Live music. Piano music. Yes, the nimble fingers of F Sharp were playing the keys just for the evening, sharing their passion, their gift. Two women, one name starts with G, one name starts with F, they meet in the middle and play together as F Sharp. Music. Blessings. Homecoming.
