News from Heidi Mae

In celebration of spring and the approaching summer season, the Lyric Center for the Arts is presenting its OPEN WATER exhibit. Four of my favorite "open water" prints will be included in the show: three Lake Superior images and one of Lake Vermilion. Featuring a number of local artists, this group exhibit will be May 6 - June 19 with an opening reception this Thursday, May 6 from 6:30 - 8:00 pm.

My "open water" favorites that will be in the show:

Hope to see you at the reception! The Lyric Center is located at 514 Chestnut Street in Virginia, MN. See the Lyric Center's blog for more information and gallery hours.

Hi. My friend and I went to the Lyric and to the Silver Lake shop today to see you work and the watercolors. Very nice. We were surprised to see Catherine Peters work at the Lyric, as we know her. I'm sure glad that there is that type of venue in Virginia. I didn't know anything about it until a group I'm in showed there work there a couple of years ago.

Thanks! I'm glad you were able to check it out. There really is a nice variety of work showing at the Lyric, including some wonderful watercolor paintings. And, yes, the Virginia area is fortunate to have a venue like the Lyric Center for visual arts and performing arts!
