Greetings from the chilly northwoods! Winter is in full swing with the return of the cold weather, the recent snow, excellent conditions for xc skiing, and a bone-rattling mat of snow and ice on the roads.
Ely's annual Winter Festival begins on Thursday, February 4th and continues through February 14th. Concurrent is the Ely ArtWalk exhibit. My photography will again be displayed in the window of the Brandenburg Gallery. (To see my last year's images, click here.) This year I will also be participating in the NLAA Art and Craft Fair on Saturday, February 6th from 10am - 4pm in the Ely Community Center (2 blocks south of Sheridan St. on 1st Ave. East). It's an opportune weekend to be out and about in Ely with the variety of art forms featured in the ArtWalk and the Art Fair and with all the other Winter Fest activities happening!
Here's a sampling of my work to entice you to meander out! :)

The images shown here are on display in the ArtWalk as matted prints, 8" wide on cotton paper with a deckled edge or 13.5" wide on cotton paper with a deckled edge (final mats fit frame sizes 11x14 and 15.25x20, respectively). Click on the image above to see them larger.
At this time, the 8" matted print is available for purchase for a price of $55 and the 13.5" print is $135. Please contact me if you are interested in purchasing one of these prints (available now!) or any other prints.

Thanks for the heads up. I missed the advertising on this Ely event. Maybe they don't advertise enough in far distant Cook, MN. ???
I think there is usually some sort of advertisement for Winter Festival and corresponding activities in the Mesabi Daily News and also, I am sure, in the TimberJay. There was a nice turnout last weekend for the events, and I'm sure this weekend will be just as good since the weather is relatively balmy!
