How far will you go to cast a line? These fishermen on Minnesota's North Shore of Lake Superior claimed the ice was 8" thick and the water at most 4 feet deep.

Wow- I would not go that far, to cast a line. How can they be sure that the ice is uniformly thick? Cool pictures, though!
I love the blues in those photos! They just jump out against the ice and snow.
Ice fishing scares me. I'd worry about falling in.
